    City of Dubbo Eisteddfod

    Held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre, the Dubbo Eisteddfod returns. This event is one of regional significance with individuals, groups and schools from Dubbo and surrounding towns taking the stage.

    A host of cultural talent will be on display during the month of June, with the Dubbo Eisteddfod providing a forum for performance in the disciplines of Vocal, Choral, dance, speech & drama and instrumental. All performers will be assessed by adjudicators.

    The Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre will fill with family and friends in anticipation of the winning performances being showcased on the final Saturday night, in the spectacular Gala Concert!

    Carols by Candlelight

    The Carols By Candlelight event will kick off with entertainment by local bands and artists.

    The arrival of Santa Claus is always an event in itself. Lots of traditional singing supported by glow stick waving is spectacular to see and partake in.

    Glow Sticks will be available for purchase on the evening.

    Annual Macquarie Lions Swap Meet & Car Show

    Come along to the 21st Annual Swap Meet & Car Show. Gates open at 6:00am for stall holders and 7:00am for Swap Meet enthusiasts. Catering will be available.

    Annual Dubbo Show

    The Show is a recognised social meeting place for families and neighbours. It is an occasion for the
    exchange of ideas of all kinds and an opportunity to view trade displays.

    There will be plenty to see and do at the Dubbo Show, starting on Friday May 18th.

    Saturday May 19 will feature the Grand Parade, The Golden Axe wood-chopping carnival, harness racing, shearing and much more.

    As usual, there will be plenty of animals with yard dogs, poultry shows, Brahmans as the feature breed in the cattle section, and Border Leciesters feature breed in the sheep sections to be held in conjunction with the NSW Landmark Sheep Show.

    22nd Annual Jazz Festival

    2012 marks the 22nd Annual Dubbo Jazz Festival and as in previous years the line up is of its highest standards with the best of both International and Australian Jazz Musicians.

    Australia Day Celebrations

    Head down to Victoria Park for the Australia Day Celebrations at 7.30am there is a BBQ breakfast, at 8.00am the Dubbo City Band will be playing and at 8.30am the official ceremony commences.

    At the event there will be a presentation of 5 Australia Day Awards (Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Sportsperson of the Year, Young Sportsperson of the Year and Services to Sport award)

    After the Official Ceremony is over the Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre will be open and for 1 hour from 10 am to 11 am entry will be for a gold coin donation – which will go to Dubbo Rescue Squad.  Note that once in the pool all activities such as inflatable and slide will still be at normal prices.

    International Body Building Championships

    This annual event has been running successfully in Dubbo for 25 years. It features both men's and women's divisions which are all strongly contested.

    Held within the excellent facilities at the Dubbo RSL Club, this very popular event has previously attracted up to 750 spectators, cheering the competitors on.

    NSW Beef Spectacular

    The NSW Beef Spectacular is a show case of the best NSW beef the industry has to offer with over 800 head of cattle shown across two days.

    The Dubbo Showground will be the venue for cattle judging in several rings and venues to showcase as many breeds as possible during the event.

    The markets offer a range of seasonal fresh produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and plants. There is also fresh bread, a selection of local pork, beef and lamb, award winning olive oils, preserves, jams, marinates honey, wine, nuts and so much more.

    The Livestock and Bulk Carriers Association (LBCA) is the leading NSW regionally focused road freight association.  It represents regional carriers with a strong focus on livestock and bulk carriers who use NSW roads. Members are in all states of Australia with varying fleet sizes.

    Orana Caravan and Camping, 4WD, Fish and Boat Show

    The Orana Caravan Camping 4WD and Boat Show has over 160 exhibitors displaying everything you will ever need for caravan, camping, four wheel driving, fishing and boats.

    There is free car parking and disabled access available.

    Visiting a recreational vehicle show is a great way to keep current on what's new in the caravan, camping and boating industry.

In what will be the 32nd year of the National Trust Heritage Festival, we hope to see another year of fantastic community-hosted events held across metropolitan and regional NSW from Saturday 14 April to Sunday 29 April 2012 with National Trust Day falling on Sunday 29 April.

    This year, it was decided to take the Heritage Festival to a national level and bring all states together under key national elements including the Heritage Festival theme and design concepts.

    By registering your event with the National Trust Heritage Festival, you ensure that you are a part of this dynamic and exciting Australia-wide celebration of Australia’s built, cultural and natural heritage.
